These lenses feature the classic cooke look. The drop off from sharp to out of focus is marvelously gentle. The Cooke mini S4/i’s have a look that offers softer contrast, more flaring, and an “older” lens look and feel. These lenses are optimal for up to and beyond 4K resolution. Along with all other Cooke lenses, these are color matched, and can be mixed with S4/i’s on set without compromising color consistency. These cine primes are designed for maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion, and spherical aberration.
